‹Wild Clay Research›는 도자 기반 창작자들과 협업하여 국내 각지의 야생 흙을 탐구한다. 프로젝트의 참여 작가이자 연구자들은 다양한 지역과 지형에서 채집한 야생 흙을 분석해 재료적 활용 방안을 연구하며, 야생 흙이라는 동시대적 데이터를 직접 경험한다.
프로젝트는 2023년부터 국내 야생 흙 연구의 공공 자료화를 목표로 여러 협업자와 지속적인 연구를 이어가고 있으며, 현재까지 가평, 광주(경기), 경주, 남양주, 아산, 안동, 안산, 양구, 양주, 영월, 이천, 임실, 의성, 정선, 제주(고산, 덕천), 파주, 평창 등 총 18곳의 땅과 흙을 채집하고 연구했다.​​​​​​​​​​

"​Wild Clay Research" explores wild clay from various regions across Korea in collaboration with ceramics-based creators.
The participating artists and researchers analyze wild clay collected from diverse regions and topographies, study its potential material applications, and directly experience wild clay as contemporary data.
Aiming to build a public archive of domestic wild clay research, the project continues its ongoing studies with various collaborators. To date, it has collected and studied earth and clay from a total of 18 locations: Gapyeong, Gwangju(Gyeonggi), Gyeongju, Namyangju, Asan, Andong, Ansan, Yanggu, Yangju, Yeongwol, Icheon, Imsil, Uiseong, Jeongseon, Jeju(Gosan, Deokcheon), Paju, and Pyeongchang.
