켜켜이 쌓인 시간의 흐름 속에서 깨지고, 터지고, 헤지고, 구멍 난 불완전한 물건들은 우리의 문화를 소생시키는 소중한 물건으로 다시 태어나 내일의 전통을 이어갑니다. 전국 방방곡곡, 보통 사람들의 일상생활 속에서 한국인의 고유한 삶의 가치를 찾고자 했던 온양민속박물관은 11명/팀의 공예가들과 함께 수선(修善)의 여정을 시작합니다. 고요히 밤낮을 지새운 작가들의 숱한 이야기들이 박물관의 새로운 도전이 되길 바라며 두 번째 ‹박물관 안 수선집›의 문을 엽니다.
야생흙 견문록 | 구정아트센터 1전시실
우리나라 열두 지역(가평, 광주, 경주, 남양주, 안동, 양주, 영월, 이천, 의성, 정선, 파주, 평창)과 온양민속박물관의 토양을 재료로 하여 우리의 일상에 녹아들 수 있는 사물을 보여 줍니다. 이번 전시에 참여한 ROS는 삶의 근간인 땅을 감각하고 통찰하며 땅, 흙을 재료로 작업하는 작가 모임입니다. 여섯 명(고도미, 김도헌, 김동인, 김현영, 심다은, 차다현)의 작가들은 야생 흙을 경험하는 과정에서 느낀 감각을 공유하고 땅의 무한한 아름다움을 탐구합니다. 땅을 통해 나와 우리를 구성하는 세계를 이해하고 지속가능한 재료와 삶에 대한 새로운 관점을 제시합니다.

In the deeply layered flow of time, imperfect objects that are broken, cracked, frayed, and punctured are reborn as precious items that revitalize our culture, carrying forward the traditions of tomorrow. The Onyang Folk Museum, which has sought the unique values of Korean life within the everyday lives of ordinary people across the nation, embarks on a journey of suseon (mending and restoration) alongside 11 craft artists and teams. Hoping that the myriad stories of the artists who have quietly spent their days and nights will become a new endeavor for the museum, we open the doors to the second Museum Tailor Shop.
Wild Clay Chronicles | Gujeong Art Center Gallery 1
This section presents objects that can seamlessly blend into our daily lives, crafted from soil sourced from twelve regions across Korea (Gapyeong, Gwangju, Gyeongju, Namyangju, Andong, Yangju, Yeongwol, Icheon, Uiseong, Jeongseon, Paju, and Pyeongchang) as well as the grounds of the Onyang Folk Museum itself. ROS participating in this exhibition is a group of artists who work with earth and soil as their medium, sensing and gaining insight from the land as the foundation of life. The six artists (Go Domi, Kim Dahyun, Kim Doheon, Kim Dongin, Kim Hyunjung, and Sim Da-eun) share the sensations they experienced while engaging with wild clay and explore the infinite beauty of the earth. Through the earth, they seek to understand the world that shapes 'me' and 'us,' presenting a new perspective on sustainable materials and ways of living.
