서울공예박물관은 오늘날 '공예-기술'이 내포한 가치를 동시대의 물질을 통해 드러내는 제작자들의 작업을 소개하는 «물질-실천»전을 개최합니다.

The Seoul Museum of Craft Art presents Matter to Practice, an exhibition showcasing the works of makers who reveal the values embedded in today's 'craft-technology' through contemporary materials.
Matter is not a mere resource; it possesses the power to guide creative acts and elicit responses through its unique agency. The artists featured in this exhibition reclaim 'discarded things' as materials, experiment with modes of production that rely on 'nature's cyclical systems', and explore the compatibility between 'matter and information'.
By sensing the future practices of craft through these artists' approaches and attitudes toward handling materials, this exhibition demonstrates that craft technology is no longer confined to mere manual skill. Instead, it is expanding into a creative sensibility and a critical practice that resonates with the world.
