‹Local Plate›는 팔당리와 함께 땅과 흙, 사람의 관계를 고찰한다. 'Wild Clay Research'의 연구지로 만난 남양주시 와부읍 팔당리는 500년이 넘은 마을 제사, '산신제'를 이어가고 있다. 해마다 두 번씩 마을의 안녕을 기리기 위해 진행되는 산신제는 종교적 의미를 넘어 마을 주민 간의 교류와 화합의 기능을 수행하는 팔당리의 기둥이자 뿌리다.
ROS는 팔당리와 함께한 경험을 다양한 매체로 풀어낸다. 김도헌과 김시월, 심다은, 최재열은 팔당리 산신제를 위해 마을의 흙으로 제기를 제작한다. 땅이 가진 색과 질감, 켜켜이 쌓인 지층의 모습을 담은 그릇은 2024년 10월에 진행된 산신제를 거치며 마을의 역사를 담고 전달하는 그릇이 되었다. 
이승민은 팔당리 산신각 근처에서 자란 칡꽃, 산초열매와 잎, 솔잎을 채집해 야생효모를 배양하고 먹을 거리를 만든다. 바삭하게 말라붙은 진흙, 질척한 흙, 작은 돌멩이, 모래 알갱이···. 흙을 정제해 그릇으로 굽기까지의 과정에서 볼 수 있는 흙의 형태를 팔당 효모로 빚어 전달한다. 
팀리자드의 강류, 이형주, 임솔몬, 기밋월은 흙이 사람에게 닿는 동안 쌓인 이야기를 연극형 퍼포먼스로 구현한다. 사람 사이에서 쌓인 소리와 움직임, 마을의 흙으로 만든 도자 악기의 합주는 팔당과의 이야기를 구전(口傳)한다.
프로젝트는 마을 주민, 창작자, 관람자에게 공유의 감각을 만들어 주며, 지역 공동체 문화를 바탕으로 사물이기 이전의 공예가 지닌 다층적인 모습을 보여준다.

Local Plate explores the relationship between the land, earth, and people through its interaction with Paldang-ri. Encountered as the site for Wild Clay Research, Paldang-ri in Wabu-eup, Namyangju-si, has been preserving a village ritual known as Sansinje (Mountain God Ritual) for over 500 years. Held twice a year to pray for the peace and well-being of the village, Sansinje transcends its religious significance; it serves as the pillar and root of Paldang-ri, functioning as a vital medium for exchange and harmony among the residents.
ROS translates these shared experiences with Paldang-ri into various media. Kim Doheon, Kim October, Sim Daeun, and Choi Jaeyeol create ritual vessels for the Paldang-ri Sansinje using clay sourced from the village. Capturing the colors and textures of the land, as well as the appearance of its accumulated strata, these vessels have become receptacles that hold and convey the village's history.
Lee Seungmin forages arrowroot flowers, Japanese pepper berries and leaves, and pine needles growing near the Paldang-ri Sansingak (Mountain God Shrine) to cultivate wild yeast and create edibles. Crisp dried mud, sticky clay, small pebbles, grains of sand... He uses the Paldang yeast to shape and recreate the diverse forms of earth observed throughout the process of refining clay and firing it into vessels.
Team Lizard’s Gangryu, Lee Hyungju, Lim Solmon, and Kimitwol bring to life the stories accumulated as the earth comes into contact with people through a theatrical performance. The ensemble of sound, movement, and ceramic instruments crafted from the village's clay serves as an oral transmission of the stories of Paldang.
The project cultivates a shared sense of connection among the village residents, creators, and audiences. Rooted in local community culture, it reveals the multi-layered aspects of craft before it simply becomes an object.
