집은 시민의 삶이다. 삶을 풍요롭게 하기 위해 매끈한 가구와 실용품이 매일 만들어진다. 매일 버려지는 헌것은 썩지 못하고 불쾌한 존재로 남아 우리의 삶을 오래도록 위협한다. 시민은 이제 미래를 통찰하며 스스로 지속가능한 변화의 주역이 되기를 원한다. 집은 시민의 단독 무대다.
DDP 오픈큐레이팅 vol.16 «Recycling Oriented Society»는 폐기물을 활용한 신소재로 한 채의 집을 디자인한다. 새로운 집을 지으며 나오는 골재와 나무 부스러기, 식생활에서 생성되는 채소와 곡식의 껍질, 사용하다 이가 빠지고 깨져버리는 도자기. 거대한 흐름을 만들며 끊임없이 버려지는 것들을 우리의 삶에 다시 들인다.
전시의 슬로건 '좋은 생산, 좋은 소비, 좋은 버림'은 선한 재료와 공정을 통해 생산이 의미 있는 사용으로 이어지고, 이는 다시 참된 버림으로 연결됨을 제시한다.

전시는 기존 원료의 대안이 될 수 있는 폐기물 신소재의 무한한 가능성을 나눈다. Recycling Oriented Society라는 지속가능한 주거 문화를 통해 집이 단순한 거주 공간이 아닌 우리가 지향하는 삶의 방향이자 집합체임을 이야기한다.
A house is the life of a citizen. To enrich this life, sleek furniture and practical objects are created daily. However, the old items discarded every day fail to decompose, lingering as unpleasant entities that threaten our lives long into the future. Citizens now look ahead, desiring to become the main agents of sustainable change themselves. The house is the exclusive stage for the citizen.
DDP Open Curating vol. 16, Recycling Oriented Society, designs a house using innovative materials developed from waste. Construction aggregates and wood scraps from building new houses, vegetable and grain peels from our daily meals, and chipped or broken ceramics—we bring these endlessly discarded materials back into our lives.
The exhibition’s slogan, "Good Production, Good Consumption, Good Disposal," proposes that through ethical materials and processes, production leads to meaningful use, which ultimately connects to genuine disposal.

The exhibition shares the infinite possibilities of innovative waste materials as alternatives to conventional raw materials.
